The morning of the second day, we made a very interesting discovery. Tyler
HATES Styrofoam. The hotel we stayed served a continental breakfast, and they had Styrofoam dishes (and every other hotel we stayed in). Tyler burst into tears when we walked into breakfast. It took me a couple of minutes to figure out what the problem was and why he refused to eat. And another 10 minutes to negotiate a compromise - I would dish up his food, carry his plate to a table, and he would eat, and then someone else would throw his dishes away so that he wouldn't have to touch the Styrofoam, and he would just get a juice pouch out of our cooler to drink - since they didn't have straws for the drinks.
After that crisis was averted, we got on the road. There was quite a bit of construction across Idaho, but we were able to make it to the condo in Park City, Utah by late afternoon. Since it was Kenzie's birthday, we went out to dinner at a Mexican restaurant (her choice) and got her a special dessert ...

She picked an ice cream chimichanga...and she really enjoyed - had to lick the plate and everything...
(The restaurant was called the Loco Lizard, but we weren't that impressed overall with the food.)
After dinner, we let Kenzie decide what to do before bed, so we spend a couple of hours playing in the pools at the condos.
Happy Birthday, Mackenzie Joy!!
